A DUNFERMLINE restaurant has been shortlisted as one of the best Turkish restaurants in Scotland.
Antioch on Bridge Street has been nominated for the second annual Turkish Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (TURTAs).
The TURTAs aim to recognise, promote and celebrate the importance and popularity of the Turkish restaurant and takeaway industry in the UK, as determined by its consumers.
The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 5, in the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel.
Nihat Oymak, owner of Antioch said: “We are very happy to be shortlisted for this award.
"We try to be the best and aim for every single award to highlight the city of Dunfermline and show there is a demand for Turkish food.
"We are happy to be located here in the city and would love to see it become a better place with even more award-winning restaurants."
The restaurant was recently visited by Dunfermline and West Fife MP Douglas Chapman.
He said: “It is fantastic news that Antioch are up for this award, to add to their various accolades, which include winning once again Turkish Restaurant of the Year at the recent Scottish Restaurant Awards.
"Antioch is a super example of small and independent businesses delivering for their community, for the local economy and bringing wider diverse and cultural benefits to the City of Dunfermline.
"Not to mention delicious cuisine! I wish them the very best of luck and success for the TURTAs and await the results with great anticipation."
