A hungry Cairneyhill man has been banned from the roads after being caught drug-driving.
Finn McDonagh, 20, of Pitdinnie Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 2nd November last year at Dunlin Drive, Dunfermline, he drove a car having taken excess cannabis.
His reading was 6.9 microgrammes of THC per litre of blood, well over the limit of 2 microgrammes.
Depute fiscal Laura McManus said at 12.15am McDonagh’s car was stopped by the police and officers could smell cannabis in the vehicle when they spoke to him.

Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said: “He is a young man who has made a mistake. He had gone to a drive-thru to buy food.”
Sheriff Wylie Robertson fined McDonagh £520 and disqualified him from driving for 14 months.
