A GROUP of four Dunfermline Soroptimists got stuck in at a Panknowe Beach clean-up last weekend.
Ann McCarlie, Anne Evan-Wong, Mary Scott and Tina Chapman sacrificed their Sunday afternoon to take part in the tidy-up at Limekilns.
Organised by The Charlestown, Limekilns and Pattiesmuir Nature Conservation Group, the clean-up saw the group record how much plastic, glass, wipes and other litter they picked up from the high water mark during the course of one hour.

The exercise is part of a larger survey under the auspices of The Marine Conservation Society Sea Champions, Scotland. The society will gather and collate the results from similar types of clean-ups from other beaches before reporting on the results.
A spokesperson for the Dunfermline Soroptimists said: "This is a significant environmental project and our four members are so proud to be part of it since it is part of the Soroptimist programme that our club is concentrating on."
