THE Dunfermline Soul Club has raised over £2,000 for Aberlour Children's Charity with their latest soul night.

A sell-out crowd gathered at the Glen Pavilion on Saturday (October 14) for a night of Motown and Soul as they yet again raised funds for the charity.

Ian Parker, who organised the event, told the Press: "Another great night, organised by Dunfermline Soul Club, was enjoyed by a sell-out crowd at the Glen Pavilion.

"An enthusiastic crowd danced to all their Motown and Soul favourites with the dancefloor jumping all night.

"As has been the case for the last few years, the money raised was presented to Aberlour in Dunfermline with a cheque for £2015.

"Since then, one of the regulars to the soul nights has donated a further £200, which was a very kind gesture to make."

Those at Aberlour are thankful to all those involved in the most recent soul night. The kind donation will be used to continue to make significant enhancements that positively impact the well-being of the young people they help.

The Soul Club will be holding their next soul night on Friday, November 24, in the British Legion Club on the New Row.

All the proceeds will go to Centre Stage Performing Arts and will assist in helping young dancers attend a competition in France next year.
