FIFE COUNCIL have gathered advice on the adverse weather conditions and issued an update on their response to Storm Babet.
The local authority has shared multiple resources on where West Fifers can get the latest forecast, travel disruptions, traffic, flood alerts and advice as Storm Babet continues to hit most of Scotland.
Sharing the information on Facebook, Fife Council wrote: "Storm Babet is bringing some severe weather our way over the next few days.
"We can provide sandbags where properties are at imminent threat of being flooded. Call us on 03451 55 00 11 option 4 and we’ll arrange for them to be delivered to you. Please only ask us for sandbags if you really need them.
"Our council housing repair centre will be answering emergency calls only on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 October so that we get help to those that need us most."
Emergency housing repairs can be reported here, while non-emergency housing repairs can be reported here.
The council continued: "We’re monitoring places where flooding has been an issue in the past and have teams out and about ready to clear fallen trees or other debris and checking gullies for blockages.
"Take care if you're out and about and, if you can, check in on neighbours who might need some extra support."
