THE latest book by a Dunfermline author is set to be launched in America just months after it hit the UK shelves.
Susan C Wilson's novel, Clytemnestra’s Bind, explores a woman's ability to challenge the power of men through Greek mythology in her new novel.
It follows the story of Queen Clytemnestra, who in legend was the wife of Agamemnon, King of Mycenae.
Wilson follows the character's life from the moment her future husband storms her palace and destroys her family before claiming the throne and Clytemnestra for himself.
From then on she vows to do all she can to protect the children born from her unhappy marriage, until her husband casts his gaze towards the wealthy citadel of Troy and his ambitions threaten to once again destroy his wife's family.
The novel is the first of a three-part series and uses a unique first-person narrative to tell a story which places motherhood at its heart.
Susan, who lives in Dunfermline, has a degree in journalism from Napier University and a diploma in classical studies from the Open University.
Already available to purchase in the UK, Clytemnestra’s Bind will be out in the United States in April next year.
