EVERYONE is invited to join the festivities when the Dunfermline Christmas lights get switched on.

The city will be lit up with festive cheer on Sunday, November 19, as organisers put on a packed day of joy-filled events.

From noon until 4pm there will be an artisan craft market at St Catherine's Wynd, perfect for snapping up some unique Christmas gifts.

Then, from 1pm until 5.30 pm, the Kingdom FM Roadshow will take place at the Glen Gates and will feature performances from the likes of Cammy Barnes, Gavin Patrick, Dionne Hickey and Billy Reekie.

At 2 pm, the Rotary Club of Dunfermline's Annual Santa Dash through the city will get underway, with the starting point being on High Street, outside M&S.

At 4.30 pm, the Christmas Parade will begin, making its way from M&S to the Glen Gates, just in time for the main event, the Christmas light switch on by Provost Jim Leishman at 5pm.

It is important to note that from noon until 6pm, High Street, Douglas Street and Maygate will be closed with no traffic through to Bruce Street, St Catherine’s Wynd and Bridge Street.
