FIFE's first Afro-Caribbean grocery store is set to open its doors in Dunfermline next month.
AYT foods is being opened by Temitope Ajayi-Salami, who hails from Nigeria and now lives in Dunfermline, after she became fed up of having to travel to Glasgow for her native food.
She is hoping that the store, at 24 Bridge Street, will help the growing number of people from Africa and the Caribbean who now live in the Kingdom to source the food that they love.
Temitope explained: "It is an Afro-Caribbean store and it is the first in Fife. Basically it will be dry food, frozen food and drink. Ingredients and spices and all of that.
"We usually go all the way to Glasgow so I decided to have a shop here. I have got a lot of messages from people saying that it is long overdue. Fife has really expanded and now has a lot of more Africans here than there used to be."

As well as serving up customers from the shop, Temitope is also hoping her products will be sent further afield.
"It is not just going to be in-store," she added. "I am going to have an online store as well and will deliver beyond Fife."
With work on the shop currently taking place, it is hoped the AYT Foods will open on Saturday, December 2.
