BINS were missed during the Fife Council landfill waste collection service in the Townhill and Dunfermline areas yesterday (Thursday). 

The local authority confirmed that the disruption was due to one of their vehicles being off the road unexpectedly but that the missed bins will be collected this weekend. 

Sharing the news on social media, Fife Council wrote: "There were some disruptions to our landfill waste collection services in parts of north Dunfermline and Townhill yesterday.

"If your bin was missed, please leave it out and we will get to it on Saturday. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this causes."
