A road in Dunfermline had to be closed when a disruptive bus passenger claimed he had a bomb in his rucksack.
The culprit was 43-year-old Sylwester Olborski, of Inchkeith Drive, Dunfermline.
He appeared accompanied by a Polish translator at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted committing the offence on October 9 on a bus in Queensferry Road, Dunfermline.
He shouted, swore, acted aggressively, and claimed to have a bomb in a rucksack which was in his possession. He made threats of violence and offensive remarks, requiring the bus to be stopped, the road to be closed and passengers to be evacuated in fear of their safety.
Then during the course of a journey to Dunfermline police station he shouted, swore and acted in an aggressive manner towards police officers.
Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said: “He was shouting at other passengers and claimed to a have a bomb. This resulted in the bus being stopped, passengers going off and the road being closed.”
Sheriff Garry Sutherland called for reports and Olborski will be sentenced on December 6.
