A High Valleyfield man breached bail conditions then offended again by shouting abuse at police officers.
Dean Bowe, 34, of Dunimarle Street, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on May 30 at his home he breached a bail undertaking condition by contacting his mum when ordered not to do so by entering a car she was in.
He then repeatedly shouted, swore and made derogatory comments towards police officers.
Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said Bowe became argumentative with police officers, repeatedly calling one of them a “rapist”.
When told to desist, he answered: “I can say what I want. Freedom of speech, mate.”
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison said: “He recognises that his behaviour was totally unacceptable. He’d taken illicit Valium and alcohol.”
Sheriff Garry Sutherland told Bowe: “This was atrocious behaviour”.
He imposed a community payback order with 12 months of supervision.
