WEST Fife Scouts are preparing for a mammoth festive job as they get set to deliver around 30,000 Christmas cards around the area.
The Scout Post is returning for 2023 and, for 45p each, cards will be delivered across Dunfermline and many of the surrounding villages.
The effort is being coordinated by Scouts and volunteers from the 39th Fife and 2nd Fife groups and funds raised will go straight back into helping local young people develop the skills for life which are provided across the Scouting organisation.

Graham McCreadie, a volunteer with the 39th Fife Scouts said: “It’s a huge organisational feat to collect, sort, and deliver 30,000 Christmas cards, and all this hard work is done by our amazing young people and volunteers.
"We are hoping that this year will be bigger than ever and we are indebted to the shops and people who host our collection points.
"Cards and money can be handed into shops until Wednesday, December 6, before 5pm."
Locations where cards can be dropped off are Scotmid on West Baldridge road, The Corner Shop in Maitland Street, Mr Ali in Rumblingwell, Day-Today on Pilmuir Street and the Spar on Pittsburgh Road.
Coop stores in Robertson Road, Townhill Road and Linburn Road will also be accepting cards as well as Morrisons in Allan Crescent and Woodmill Road.
Cards can also be taken to the Lochview Cattery on Cuddyhouse Road and Hallmark stores in Hospital Hill, Cowdenbeath and Glenrothes and into the 39th and 2nds Fife Halls in the evenings from Monday, December 4 until December 6 before 7.30pm.
