Kingdom Housing have taken ownership of 27 recently-completed new homes in Halbeath.

The mixture of properties, designed to help local people in housing need, form part of Persimmon North Scotland’s Carnegie Fauld development.

Persimmon North Scotland’s managing director James MacKay and Kingdom Housing Association’s director of housing Matthew Busher were joined on site by local MSP Shirley-Anne Somerville to mark the completion of the project.

Mr MacKay said: “Carnegie Fauld is a great example of our successful partnership with Kingdom Housing Association, which continues to deliver much-needed new homes for local families across Fife.

“We’ll continue to work closely with our local partners to ensure our investment makes a positive difference to communities across Fife.”

Mr Busher highlighted Kingdom’s mission is to provide 'More than a Home', supporting its customers to achieve long-term sustainable housing solutions for them and their families and to support community development.

“There is a demonstrable shortage of high-quality affordable housing in Fife, which is why it's so important that partnerships such as this one are able to develop and deliver much-needed housing in the area," he said.

"It forms an essential part of delivering 'More than a Home' and supporting the communities in which we operate."

The Carnegie Fauld development consists of over 100 new energy-efficient homes in total.

Shirley-Anne Somerville said: "It's great to see these new properties have now been completed in Halbeath and I'm glad they are already providing a welcoming new home for families."

Highlighting that the project was supported by around £2.6m of funding from the Scottish Government, she added: "I'm grateful for the opportunity to tour the Carnegie Fauld development and to learn more about how the partnership between Persimmon and Kingdom Housing is helping to support the local community here and across Fife."
