IN-HOUSE talent at Fire Station Creative are set to open their doors this weekend for their annual Open Studios event.
This is the seventh opportunity the public will have had to explore the iconic listed building in Dunfermline since it re-opened as an arts venue in 2015.
Visitors can expect to be greeted by practicing photographers, jewellers, painters, ceramicists, furniture upholsterers and restorers.
“If you’re stuck for Christmas shopping ideas, this weekend is the perfect opportunity," said Paula Graham of Porcupine Upholstery, who organises the event each year.
Artist Lynn Crombie, who paints landscapes and abstract figures in vibrant colour said: “I’m really excited about Open Studios.
"It’s a chance to welcome the public into our workspace and let them see what we do.
"Last year there was a real buzz and I loved talking to people about my work.
"They were genuinely interested, which was amazing.
"We do have a great place here at Fire Station Creative and it’s brilliant to open the studios up for everyone.”
There will also be craft stalls in the communal area on the first floor and live music in the gallery downstairs where the Tenants’ Annual exhibition is currently on display.
Open Studios takes place this Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
