WORKERS at Dunfermline's Amazon centre are gearing up for a busy Black Friday then Christmas season.
Around 1,000 additional seasonal workers have been recruited to add to the current 1,200 employees to help keep up with sending out packages to customers across the country.
The fulfilment centre's general manager, Jamie Strain, said: “The team at Amazon in Dunfermline is gearing up for another great festive season, shipping packages to customers around the UK in the run-up to Christmas.

"We expect Black Friday to be another big sales day, and our 1,200 employees have been joined by around 1,000 seasonal workers as the festive shopping season gets underway.
“Black Friday deals week has been live since Friday, November 17 and will run until 11.59pm on November 27."
He added: “The run-up to Christmas at Amazon in Dunfermline is one of our favourite times of the year and we have a month-long series of celebratory events planned for our employees.
"We’re also planning to continue supporting the Dunfermline community through donations and volunteering, working with organisations that have a positive impact on people in Dunfermline and across Fife.”
