A Dunfermline woman who spat in the face of a police officer has been jailed.
Shannon Catterall, 28, of Headwell Avenue, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison, where she is currently serving a sentence for another matter.
She previously admitted that on January 14 last year at Priory Lane, she assaulted two police officers by spitting at them whereby one constable was struck on the face with saliva.
Sheriff Charles Macnair jailed Catterall for 12 months to run consecutively to her current term.
