A Met Office weather warning has been issued for much of the east of Scotland, including Fife, running from 5pm this evening (Sunday, December 3) until noon tomorrow.
The yellow warning is for snow and ice.
Met Office weather maps indicate that snow is most likely in the north east of Scotland and on higher ground, while in Fife, there is more of a risk of rain showers falling on frozen ground and causing ice to form.

This may lead to some disruption to transport and infrastructure, with icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
The Met Office says some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
