A SPECIAL visitor flew into Townhill to provide some festive cheer to youngsters around the village.
Santa Claus was on hand to meet local residents as he made his way through Townhill.
The event was organised by the local community council and its chairperson, Ronnie Cowan, was pleased to see people come out and enjoy the occasion.

"There were lots of people who came out and it was really nice," he said. "We used to do a children's party in the community centre but Covid put an end to that. I built the sleigh and thereafter we have run this.
"Our concern was that we run out of chocolates for the kids but we didn't so all was good.
"It is amazing the support we get from our volunteers. We had local businesses participating in the helping as well."
