SIX people have now been arrested and charged over the Fife derby day attack on a Raith Rovers fan outside East End Park.

Police Scotland said this morning that three teenagers - aged, 14, 15 and 16 - had been identified in relation to the assault on an 18-year-old man after the Dunfermline v Raith Rovers match on Tuesday January 2.

They arrested and charged a 17-year-old youth the next day, followed by a 15-year-old youth and 20-year-old man, and all three were released on an undertaking to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court at a later date.

There was widespread revulsion after a video circulating on social media had shown a gang of youths punching and kicking a man on the ground after the Fife derby match.

The victim was later taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.

The assault happened around 5.30pm, shortly after the match finished, and police said their enquiries are continuing.

In the days after the attack Raith Rovers invited the fan in to meet the players and receive a signed shirt.

Dunfermline Athletic said any supporter involved in the "horrible" attack would be banned from KDM East End Park.
