FIFE COUNCIL tenants are being encouraged to complete the annual rent-setting consultation by the end of January.
The deadline to complete the survey is fast approaching and tenants are being reminded to take part and let the Council know their housing priorities.
This year the local authority is consulting on three options for 2024/25 rent rises, 5 per cent, 6 per cent and 7 per cent. This survey gives tenants the opportunity to share their views before councillors take final budget decisions in February. The new rent level will then be applied from April 2024.
Sharing a reminder on Facebook, the Fife Council Tenant Participation team wrote: "We know people are under financial pressures.
"Prices are rising, heating your home is more expensive, all the services we need cost more, and most importantly the cost of food has increased.
"With the increased financial burdens being faced this year, it is more important than ever that tenants use their vote and tell us how they feel about the rent they pay."
The survey can be found on the Fife Council website and is available to complete until Wednesday, January 31.
