A Dunfermline man, who was found guilty of sexual offences against a young girl, has avoided prison.

Bradley Young, 22, of Arthur Street, was convicted of three charges following a jury trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

On various occasions between February 1, 2019 and January 12, 2020 at Townhill Loch and various addresses in Dunfermline, he sent sexual communications to a girl, aged 14, made sexual comments to her and compelled her to send naked images of herself to him via social media.

During the same period, at locations in Dunfermline, he performed sexual acts on the girl.

He was also found guilty of a charge that on various occasions between those dates, at locations in Dunfermline, he bought alcohol for children.

Sheriff Charles Macnair imposed a community payback order with 300 hours of unpaid work and three years of supervision.

Young was also put on a restriction of liberty order for a year, fined £520 and will be on the sex offenders register for three years.
