A teenager has been ordered not to contact his former girlfriend, after he grabbed her by the neck and pinned her against a wall in Dunfermline.
The 17-year-old culprit, from Port Glasgow, cannot be named for legal reasons.
He appeared back at Dunfermline Sheriff Court where he previously admitted that on March 30 last year at Law Road, Dunfermline, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly seizing her by the neck and pinned her against a wall.
He breached bail between March 30 and April 5 by contacting his former partner in various locations in Dunfermline.
After the assault, the youth admitted to police: “I lifted her up by the throat against the wall.”
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett previously told the court: “It was a trivial argument initially. She had locked him in and he wanted to leave. He knows he shouldn’t have reacted the way he did.”
The youth had been put on a structured deferred sentence, which he completed.
Sheriff Francis Gill admonished the youth and put him on a six-month non-harassment order.
