A Dunfermline couple are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today (Thursday, February 22).
Ian and Ann Mclaren (née Evans) first met in September 1961 in the Kinema Ballroom Dancehall. The pair became engaged in 1963 and they married the following year.
Ian was born in Dunfermline in 1939 and he attended Commercial Primary School and then Dunfermline High School. He then went on to serve an apprenticeship in Rosyth Dockyard and worked for the Ministry of Defence throughout his career.

Ann was also born in Dunfermline in 1942 and attended St Leonards Primary and Queen Anne High School. She worked in Pamur House before raising her family and caring for her mother.
The couple lived in Birch Grove, Pitcorthie for 48 years before moving to a retirement complex in Perthshire two years ago.
Their secret to a long and happy marriage is being content and enjoying family life.
