Events during Seachdain na Gàidhlig (World Gaelic Week) are all free to attend and have been designed to be accessible to those with no Gaelic at all, but still be enjoyable for fluent speakers.
Kirsty Strachan, the council's Gaelic development officer, commented: "We want to encourage as many people as possible to take part in this week of activities around Fife to experience, use and improve your Gaelic.
“There are more Gaelic speakers in the community than most people are aware of and learning a new language can be great fun for all ages."
Carnegie Library will have several events running to mark the week. These are all held on the Monday, February 19. At 10am there will be a conversation group, at 1.30pm there will be a Bookbug session, Gaelic Scrabble will be held at 3pm, and from 6-8pm there will be Bothan with Peter Mackay.
