A former Dunfermline resident who recently found an old school photograph is keen to find out more about his former classmates.

Allan Cruickshanks, who now lives in Canada, has turned to Dunfermline Press readers in a bid to put names to the faces in the picture.

Allan wrote: "I lived in Dunfermline from birth until my wife and I emigrated to Canada in 1969.

"I came across a school photo taken in 1955 when I was a pupil at St Leonard's School. Other than a very few people, I know none of the names of the people in the photo - all of them would be around 80 now.

"I am in the back row, fourth from the right. It would be interesting to find out how many of the people in the photo are still around, and how many names we could put to the photo."
