A REFRESHING tonic is on the way as the countdown is underway to Dunfermline’s Charity Gin Festival.
The organisers promise a heady cocktail of drink, food, live music and a DJ over two party nights on May 10 and 11 in the Glen Pavilion.
It's the main event in the calendar of the Rotary Club of Dunfermline - last year's gig raised £16,000 - and there will be a sparkling array of more than 40 gins on offer.
The club's president, Alan Condie, explained: “The festival’s main objective is fundraising for local charities.
"The three previous festivals were packed out on both nights, helping us raise over £40,000 for local charities.
“We will again feature over 40 gins with many more flavours plus rums, wines, Prosecco and lagers.”

Live music will be provided by the multi-award winning band ‘Cut the Cake’ on Friday night and by local band ‘Top Table’ on Saturday night, there will also be a DJ on both nights to keep you dancing until 12.30am.
The Early Bird ticket price until April 14 is £20 and buys entry to the event, a stemmed commemorative gin glass to keep, a complimentary first gin drink and a programme with full details of all the drinks on offer.
After that date, the price is £25 per ticket.
Food will be on offer each night.
Alan added: “Our event is designed to be different from most other gin festivals due to the party atmosphere we create from the live music, DJ and the substantial numbers that attend.
“The Glen Pavilion can officially hold up to 600 people each night.
"We have only just started selling tickets online and they are already flying out of the door.
“Please book tickets now to secure your place and Early Bird price online via the event website dunfermlineginfestival.co.uk.
“Regular updates for the event will be posted on our Facebook page and on our website.”
