A 60-year-old Dunfermline woman has appeared in court for two drunken assaults on females.
Back in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was Elaine Mackie, of Mackie Place.
She admitted that on November 13, 2022, at Backmarch Road, Rosyth, she assaulted a woman by seizing her by the hair and repeatedly striking her on the head.
She also admitted that on September 2, last year, at Cleish Place, Dunfermline, she assaulted another female by repeatedly punching her to the head, pulling her by the hair and kicking her to the body, to her injury.
Depute fiscal Amy Robertson said that both incidents involved women Mackie knew and was drinking with at the time. After becoming increasingly drunk, Mackie had become aggressive and attacked the victims.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett conceded his client has a lengthy record of offending which was “alcohol-related”.
In November, Mackie was jailed for other offences committed after drinking sessions.
Mr Flett: “She’s now keen to stay out of trouble.”
Sheriff Francis Gill deferred sentence until May 22 for good behaviour.
