A DUNFERMLINE author has opened a new chapter on her literary journey.
Claire Monaghan is set to launch The Writer's Lathe Academy which she hopes will work as a beacon to guide fellow authors.
Offering a diverse array of full-length courses meticulously crafted to cater to the needs of writers at every stage of their creative development, The Writer's Lathe provides the tools, guidance, and community support necessary to flourish in the world of writing.
“I believe that storytelling is a fundamental aspect of the human experience, and everyone has a unique story to tell," said Claire.
"The new online academy offers a diverse range of courses, including the "Fundamentals of Creative Writing," which lays the groundwork for aspiring writers by exploring essential elements such as character development, plot structure, and setting creation.
"For those drawn to the allure of mystery and suspense, the 'Gothic Mystery for Beginners' course delves into the intricacies of the genre, teaching participants how to build tension, craft compelling twists, and create haunting atmospheres.
"Additionally, the 'Mastering World-Building' course invites writers to embark on an immersive journey into the realms of fantasy and speculative fiction, where they'll learn how to create richly detailed worlds that captivate readers' imaginations."
