One of the peahens in Pittencrieff Park is set to become a first-time mum!
Angel is a white peahen who was rehomed in the park back in August 2022. The volunteers with the peacocks announced the news on the Peacocks of Pittencrieff Park’s Facebook page yesterday (Sunday, March 10).

Their post stated: “We are delighted to inform you that our beautiful Angel is going to be a first-time mummy.
"Angel came to us in August 2022 and this is the first year she has laid and sat and she has three eggs, due to hatch at the end of the month.
"She is so far proving to very very protective and attentive to her eggs. Well she needs to be as given the chance Eva, Zoe, Patsy or Kaylee would be sitting on them in a shot!
"Our beautiful Angus ‘became a man’ the other day so our Eva might not be far behind her."
