A fostering agency based in Dunfermline delivered thousands of daffodils to foster carers across Scotland in the lead up to Mother’s Day.
Swiis Foster Care presented the bouquets of daffodils to their foster carers at an ‘Every Parent’ event in Swiiss’s Dunfermline base at Carnegie Campus South.
Daffodils were chosen because they signify new beginnings, and a new beginning is something that many foster carers offer to children in their care.

Tim Notchell, company director and CEO at Swiis Foster care, said: “Swiis Foster Care would like to reflect on the remarkable commitment and compassion of our foster carers across Scotland. We are immensely grateful every day for their dedication to the children and young people they look after.
“We also extend our sincere thanks to all foster carers across the UK and celebrate them for their help in improving the lives of so many children and young people in care.”
A child in foster care shared the role his foster carer plays in his life.
He said: “I have a nice, kind, and caring foster parent. He buys us lots of clothes and we have loads of stuff now.
“He makes me and my brother feel part of the family and he does the best food! I am now learning to cook like him. If I ever need anything he is always there for me.”
