THE Dunfermline Soul Club has raised £2,200 for the Aberlour Children's Charity.
On Saturday, March 16, the group held their latest charity soul night at the Glen Pavillion and saw Zander Murray and Ian Parker on the DJ list.
Through the event, they raised £1,810 but two regular members of the club went above and beyond, donating a further £390 to the cause.
Ian Parker, who also organises the event, told the Press: "As always it was a sell-out event and the crowd were taken back to sounds from the 60s, 70s, 80s and,90s.
"Abby Parkhouse, from Aberlour, really appreciates the monies raised by the Soul Club and put leaflets on the tables explaining how the money was being used."
A garden room that is large enough to accommodate a mobile hoist and custom-made ramp has been purchased by the charity.
The accessible room has large bi-folding doors, for easy entry, and the plan is to fill it with soft play and sensory equipment to provide a relaxing therapeutic space that can be used all year round.
Abby passed on thanks from herself and the charity to everyone who attends the soul nights.
The next Soul Night will take place on Friday, May 24, and will see Errol Parrish added to the set list.
