A resident has raised concerns over the flooding prevention in Rex Park, Dunfermline.
Shona Mitchell has noticed that the lagoon in Rex Park has not been maintained and that the culvert was entirely blocked.
She commented: “Well, it’s completely overgrown and choked. There’s a culvert, that’s never been maintained, and I have just gradually started noticing it and thinking, there’s not any water flowing back there.

“It’s just totally overgrown and the more I thought about it, the more I got annoyed with it.”
Shona explained that: “You don’t really see it unless you go up to it.”
Fife Council Lead Consultant Rick Haynes said: "I've arranged for a site visit to be carried out to check if there are any issues."
Fife Council noted that the lagoon is a wildlife feature that is encouraged to grow naturally, and as a result of this, it may look different to a structured SUDS system.
