LEADERSHIP awards have been presented by the Rotary Club of Dunfermline to the eight school captains at West Fife’s four high schools.
The achievements of the leading pupils were recognised at a presentation evening in Garvock House Hotel where they shared the highlights of their respective roles during the current academic year.
President Alan Condie presented certificates and vouchers, in acknowledgement of their “significant contributions” to their schools and the wider community, to:
Dunfermline HS: Sophie Yorkston (18), of Camdean Crescent, Rosyth, and Neve Meach (17), of Eardley Crescent, Dunfermline, who are now bound for university to study bio-medical sciences and law respectively;

Queen Anne HS: Grace Helm (17), of Glenavon Drive, Cairneyhill, and Momin Naqvi (17), of Kingfisher Place, Dunfermline, who are to study law and medicine at their respective universities;
St Columba’s HS: Nicole Donnachie (18), of Smith Avenue, Cowdenbeath, and Lucas Sim (17), of Petrel Way, Dunfermline, who are also to embark respectively on degree courses in law and medicine;
Woodmill HS: Freya Sneddon (17), of Glamaig Way, and Ewan Campbell (17), of Braemar Drive, both of Dunfermline, who are to undertake university studies in medicine and international business management respectively.
