A KELTY cadet is flying high after landing a prestigious role in his troop.
Cadet Staff Sergeant Robert Holgate has been appointed Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major for the Black Watch Battalion Army Cadet Force.
The accolade comes in recognition of his "outstanding dedication, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment" to the Cadets as well as his "exceptional leadership qualities and tireless efforts".
He will now serve as a "beacon of inspiration and guidance" for his peers, providing mentorship and support to fellow cadets.

Colonel Halford-Macleod, Commandant of the Black Watch Battalion Army Cadet Force, said: “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Cadet RSM Robert Holgate on this well-deserved appointment.
