MEMORIES of the Dunfermline music scene of days gone by are set to come flooding back for a special reunion.
A Sinkys Jam Night reunion is being held at PJ Molloys next month with an array of performers set to take to the stage again.
Organiser Claire Richardson said the iconic nights have a special place in the heart of many West Fifers.
"It was such a big part of so many people's lives," she said. "They ran every Thursday night . I started going when I was 18 so that would have been 1997/98.
"It was every Thursday night and it was so busy, there was only standing space.

"We are very fortunate in Dunfermline. We have Nazareth, Big Country, and the Skids and all this music wealth. They would just come along to these jam nights and it would just be normal. They were just getting up on a Thursday night at Sinkys doing a piece."
After speaking about the evenings, Claire decided to organise the get-together which will feature local band The Falcons as the house band on the day.
"I had talked about how lucky we were and how fortunate we were and there was a wealth of them on stage every Thursday night," she said.
"I thought let's get together. I put a message out on Facebook and said if I was to organise it, who would come. Then it was a case of finding a venue. PJs is the only place big enough locally and they have agreed to host it.
"The Falcons are going to be the house band on the day. I wanted it to be as authentic as back then.
"It is on from 4pm until midnight. We have made it a whole day as there are so many bands. I think I have got 70 musicians coming along so we had to make it a whole day to give everyone space to play.
"We are going to be livestreaming it to Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, America because people have moved on but it was such a big part of their lives.
"It will run as a charity event for CHAS. It is looking like it is going to be a fair bit of money made to go to the charity."
The event is taking place on Sunday, May 26 and more information can be found by searching for Sinkys Reunion on Facebook.
