CruiseForth has created a new video of Dunfermline’s Heritage Quarter to promote the city as a Shore Excursion for guests on cruise ships arriving at ports on the south side of the River Forth.
The video has been taken in video card format to the international Seatrade Cruise Exhibition in Miami where it has been shared with Shore Excursion planners.
As previously reported in the Press, CruiseForth started with four well-intentioned volunteers standing at Rosyth's port. It manages a team of 50 volunteers across the four ports, and operates a courtesy bus from the Port of Rosyth to Dunfermline.

Peter Wilson, the project lead for CruiseForth, said: “We know how popular Dunfermline is for cruise guests at Rosyth who use the courtesy bus offered by the Welcome Volunteers.
“Now we want to persuade guests arriving on ships at other ports on the Forth of the amazing history of Dunfermline and the beautiful Pittencrieff Park, as an alternative to the overcrowded streets of Edinburgh. The video helps to tell that story.”
The video has been funded with support from the Dunfermline Community Recovery Fund, which is managed by Fife Council.
