HOLIDAY breaks are set to be served up above a popular Dunfermline pub after a planning application was given the go-ahead.
Four flats above the Old Inn will be able to be used for short term lets while external alterations including replacement windows and painting are set to take place.
In November applicant Barry Hynd had asked for permission from Fife Council for a change of use of the properties at 15A, 15B, 15C and 15D Kirkgate.
Previously private rented flats, they can now become short term lets.

On the two floors above the pub there are two one-bedroom apartments, a two-bedroom apartment and a three-bedroom apartment.
Planners deemed that the proposal was an acceptable one.
"The proposed change of use would not result in an unacceptable impact on the local amenity or character of the neighbourhood and therefore would be compatible with the surrounding area," they stated.
"Furthermore, it is considered that the proposed development would bring a vacant property back into use whilst encouraging tourists to the area thereby bring about economic benefit to the local businesses and area."
