Dunfermline Whisky are planning to hold regular quarterly charity tastings to give back to the community.

As previously reported in the Press, the group is made up of four whisky enthusiasts;  Jason Julien, George Brailey, Brendan Innes, and Adam Stanley.

For their third tasting in June, they have teamed up with Morrisons Distillers and are planning a charity event where all proceeds will be donated to local causes.

George commented on the charities: “Each one of our four founders has chosen one for this year and the charity on Thursday, June 13, has been my selection.”

He chose Abbeyview Baby and Toddler Group, which is turning 10 this year.

He added: “My eldest daughter was one of the first attendees with my wife, it was a breath of fresh air having something local for my wife to share her day-to-day experiences with having a first born.

“The group offered my daughter Olivia a safe place to grow, interact and develop. For my wife Gemma it offered a place of support, friendship and community.

“Whilst most of my three children are too old to attend they still keep in contact with many of the people to have passed through its doors.”

Dunfermline Whisky’s charity event will be a whisky tasting similar to their previous events, but it will only feature whiskies sold by Morrisons Distillers in Aberargie. Brand ambassador for Morrisons Distillers, Thomas Cuthbert, also from Dunfermline, will be at the event.

The event on Thursday, June 13 will be at Edwards Bar and Grill in Dunfermline at 7.30pm.
