Readers will have the first opportunity to get their hands on a copy of The Dunfermline Story later this month.
The book is the work of Colin Maxwell, a Dunfermline-based comic book writer and a Fife College lecturer. As previously reported in the Press, The Dunfermline Story looks at the city’s history and the people who shaped it.
Its author previously described the book as “an illustrated history of Dunfermline.”

Colin also received a Scots Language Publication Grant from the Scottish Book Trust after successfully pitching The Dunfermline Story. Several local artists have contributed to the book’s artwork.
Now, readers will get the chance to take home a copy of the book for themselves. A book signing will take place at Little Shop of Heroes on Saturday, May 25 from 11am.
The book’s release also coincides with the 400th anniversary of the Great Fire of Dunfermline.
