A MAN was taken to hospital after a reported assault in Inverkeithing.
Police were called to the Roods Road area just before 11pm and officers remained on the scene on Saturday morning with the area to the back of the old Inverkeithing Primary school cordoned off.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 10.50pm on Friday, 10 May, 2024, police were called to the Roods Road area of Inverkeithing, following a report of the serious assault of a 64-year-old man.
"He was conveyed to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
