A DUNFERMLINE gin festival proved to be just the tonic at the weekend as over £10,000 was raised for local good causes.
The two-day event at the Glen Pavilion saw over 40 gins – plus other drinks – served up with live bands entertaining the crowds on both evenings for the Rotary Club of Dunfermline fundraiser.
The club's vice president, David Walker, was pleased with how the annual event went.
"It was went like clockwork which was good," he said. "There were about 650 people who came along over the two nights. We had two live bands and 40 different gins and gin cocktails.

"There were a lot of new people this time and quite a few people from outwith the city which was very good. We still have a few bills to come in but I think we raised just over £10,000 for local charities."
With all the proceeds benefitting the local community, David said it isn't too late to request a good cause.
"I think we are still to decide who we are going to give to but it will all be local causes," he added. "If any groups are needing support, they can get in touch. We will consider suggestions if people want to contact us."
