A WEST Fife business is set to collapse after a winding up order was made.
A petition went to Dunfermline Sheriff Court on May 8 requesting that Donibristle Skip Hire and Recycling Ltd in Inverkeithing be wound up and a liquidator appointed.
According to its website the firm, which is based in Ferryhills Road, is one of the leading providers of skip hire and recycling services in Fife and the surrounding areas.
The court action was on behalf of the commissioners for His Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
Liquidation is the process of closing a limited company, selling the assets to pay off debts and dissolving the company from the official register at Companies House.
In short it will stop doing business and employing people.
In general terms liquidation is the process a company faces when there are cash flow problems and creditors are threatening to take enforcement action.
