A resident of Orchardhead House Care home in Rosyth celebrated a major birthday earlier this month.
John Ronxin, who was born in South Queensferry in 1924, marked his 100th birthday on May 14.
He was born to Thomas Ronxin and Mary Bryce, his father was originally from the Channel Islands.
While John was stationed at Invergordon with the RAF during the Second World War, he met Catherine Munro.
The couple married in Inverness in 1943 and were married for 80 years, making them the oldest married couple in Scotland.
The couple had six children, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Catherine sadly passed away last year.
Post war, houses were built and John and Catherine were allocated a house in South Queensferry where they remained.
After the war, John was posted to Edinburgh Airport, initially still with the RAF, but then the Meteorological Office was created, and he worked for them until he retired in 1984.
Despite retiring, John went and found a job with a firm of solicitors in Edinburgh where he worked until he was 78 years old.
Visiting on the day to offer their congratulations were Cllr Andy Jackson, presenting flowers on behalf of Fife Council and Col Jim Kinloch, Deputy Lieutenant, representing the Fife Lieutenancy.
