An award-winning funeral director is preparing to open a branch in Kelty.

Colin Sneddon Funeral Directors, which already has premises in Cowdenbeath and Leven, will be opening in the village next month.

As previously reported, the business has won Funeral Director of the Year for Fife three years in a row.

Colin commented: “I have always wanted to open a branch in Kelty since the day I started. It’s a big community and there’s a need to have a funeral director here.

“I have been thinking about it for the past couple of years, but the premises I have took over just came up last week.”

When asked if he’s looking forward to opening the new premises, he added: “Oh definitely, I have got a few connections in Kelty, I have got family here as well. Definitely looking forward to it.

“We are just here to provide a service that the people of Kelty deserve.”

The branch will be opening on Monday, June 24.
