PLANS to slow down traffic on a West Fife road have edged closer.
Fife Council has published its proposals to cut the speed on the route from Townhill Main Street to Bowershall from 60mph to 40mph after concerns were raised over safety.
Earlier this year, members of the City of Dunfermline area committee agreed to the plans for just over 1,500 metres of the C53 road.
