A WOMAN was kicked during a drunken row in Dunfermline as police officers looked on.
The officers had been called to deal with another matter when they saw 38-year-old Lee Hynd commit the assault and he was promptly arrested.
Hynd, of Spencerfield Road, Inverkeithing, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on April 6 at Queen Anne Street, Dunfermline, he assaulted a woman by kicking her on the body.
Depute fiscal Lauren Pennycook said the pair had been drinking together in Dunfermline when an argument started.

Police were dealing with another incident when they witnessed the assault and Hynd was arrested.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison said: “He doesn’t want any further contact with her.
"There was a high level of intoxication and his recollection of the incident is not good at all.
“He’s embarrassed and ashamed by his conduct.”
Sheriff Wylie Robertson imposed a community payback order with 160 hours of unpaid work and a two-year non-harassment order
