A CAMPAIGN has been launched to encourage Fifers to cycle for their day-to-day commuting and shopping.
The aim is to reduce car usage, thereby reducing environmental impact, and boosting physical and mental well-being.
Everyday Cycling Fife is part of the work of Climate Action Fife, a partnership of community and public sector organisations.
Cllr Jan Wincott, spokesperson for environment and climate change at Fife Council, said: "Whether you are a new, occasional or experienced cyclist, I fully encourage Fifers to join in on the Everyday Cycling Fife campaign.
"This is a great opportunity to get on a bike, get active and have fun.
"Making more trips by bike will benefit our environment, our air quality and people’s physical and mental wellbeing."
