A WEST Fife charity had teams fundraising for them at Sunday's Edinburgh Marathon.

The Cookie Jar Foundation had two relay teams - both made up of staff from Inverkeithing Medical Group - take part in the dash through the capital in the rain.

The surgery has been running a Move More for May campaign on their Facebook page to highlight the physical and mental health benefits of exercise.

So far, the teams have raised £2,000 and all donations will go towards helping the charity to place a vein finder into the outpatient department at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

The Cookie Jar Foundation was set up in memory of Aberdour teenager Christopher ‘Cookie’ Coutts who passed away after a two-year battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2013.

He was just 19.

One of the charity’s main aims is to provide vein finders to local hospitals, and over the last 10 years they have donated 25 of these devices into local hospital wards.

In April, the foundation presented staff at the Victoria with an updated vein finder.

The teams have a JustGiving page where you can donate.
