A CHARITY which supports the "unsung heroes" who provide unpaid care in the Kingdom is preparing for a conference in Dunfermline.

Fife Carers Centre are running the event to celebrate unpaid caregivers and to kick off Carers Week.

It’s being held in a suite at Dunfermline Athletic's stadium, East End Park.

Evan Carrie, training and development manager at Fife Carers Centre, commented: “Our event will unite unpaid carers, carer support organisations and decision-makers to engage in discussions on carers' experiences and the support they require now and in the future.”

As part of the morning session, invited professionals and carers will come together to hear from guest speakers such as Wendy Chamberlain MP and Becky Duff, director of Carers Trust for Scotland.
