TWO West Fife churches have merged in Dunfermline to form a new congregation.
In an effort to best allocate its resources, the Church of Scotland has combined Townhill and Kingseat Church with St Andrew's Erskine Church to form St Columba’s Church of Scotland.
A spokesperson confirmed that the merger is now complete, with a new minister to be appointed in "due course".

They said: “The congregations of Townhill and Kingseat Parish Church and St Andrew’s Erskine Parish Church have united to form a new congregation called Dunfermline: St Columba’s Church of Scotland.
“The congregation will be given permission to call a new minister in due course."
The two buildings of worship that made up the Townhill and Kingseat Parish Church will now be put up for sale.
Work is ongoing to empty the buildings and a photograph album of memories is being set up to remember Townhill and Kingseat Parish Church.
They continued: “The congregation is solely using the newer St Andrew's Erskine building on Robertson Road in Dunfermline and it is anticipated that the Townhill and Kingseat buildings will be put up for sale later in the year and sold.”
